Amy is a resident of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. She attended the University of Minnesota of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Amy went on to earn her J.D. from Hamline University School of Law. After law school, Amy entered private practice with a focus on estate planning and administration. Over the years, her planning practice grew to include business planning and transactions.
Estate planning ranges in complexity from simple wills to complex trust agreements with estate and gift tax planning. Amy works with estates of all sizes and asset compositions. Each estate plan recommendation is tailored to a client’s unique needs, with thoughtful consideration given to sensitive family and financial situations. Amy also guides individuals through asset administration, whether through a probate or trust administration, after death.
From starting a business to selling a business, Amy works across the lifespan of businesses. Working closely with accountants and other advisors to ensure a business is properly structured, Amy forms business entities, assists with ongoing business operations and guides clients through the sales and purchases of businesses.
Amy is a member of the Minnesota Bar Association, the State Bar Association of North Dakota, and the Detroit Lakes Breakfast Rotary Club. When not at the office, she can be found at the lake with her children and dogs.
